'Abandoned Checkout' and 'Declined Checkout' refer to two distinct scenarios in the checkout process.
Here's a breakdown of both:
Abandoned Checkout:
This occurs when a customer initiates the checkout process but does not complete the purchase. The reasons may vary—distraction, indecision, unexpected costs, or technical issues. The transaction remains incomplete, but no payment is attempted or declined. Leadsly combines the following 3 scenarios into Abandoned Checkout Campaigns:
1. Partials (customers that entered their email but did not submit the form)
2. Inhouse anonymous resolutions (Leads identified by IP and Device ID).
3. 3rd Party anonymous resolutions (Leads identified via our partnered publisher network).
When you select this campaign type, you will only receive 'abandoned leads'.
Declined Checkout:
A 'Declined Checkout' happens when a customer attempts to complete their purchase, but the payment fails due to reasons such as insufficient funds, invalid payment details, etc. In this case, the purchase is actively attempted, but the payment cannot go through.
When you select this campaign type, you will only receive 'declined leads'.
